Mexican artist Mario Maplé explores the clash between opposing notions & creates surreal artworks in fine detail.
In collaboration with Gleo (Col) & Renata MTZ (Mex), Mario has created an imaginative portrait of the Swedish artist Greta Garbo.
In the middle, Greta Garbo is seen in a sea of abstract shapes painted by Mario Maplé (Mexico) and on each side of Garbo, the artists Renata Martinez (Mexico) and Nathalia Gallego (GLeo) (Colombia) are painted by each other: Renata can be seen on the right painted by Nathalia and Nathalia on the left painted by Renata. A way for the artists to “stay” in Falköping and at the same time pay tribute to each other.
